As a member of the executive team for Geolux, Brian is critical in driving the success of the company through the powerful and focused use of information technology to deliver world-class learning management solutions. Prior to joining Geolux, Brian was Chief Technology Officer for WebMiles, Inc., a loyalty rewards solution provider. Brian and the WebMiles technology team developed a patent-pending technology infrastructure to manage transactions and compile sharp customer behavior profiles used to deliver unique relationship management strategies and direct marketing programs. This system was successfully integrated into loyalty programs for large customers such as Kroger, MCI Telecom, Avis, Wyndham Hotels, IDine, and Zions Bank to drive the company from obscurity to multi-million dollar revenues. Prior to WebMiles, Brian was the corporate e-business architect for Novell, Inc. Novell is one of the largest independent software companies with annual revenues of more than one billion dollars. Under his direction, Novell migrated from a monolithic web architecture to an n-tier architecture that allows Novell's corporate websites to support an average of 1.7 million hits a day. Brian also drove the transition of Novell's Intranet from a collection of static web pages to a mission-critical business system at the center of the everyday work experience for Novell's global workforce. This site received the 1999 CIO WebBusiness 50/50 Award and as such was recognized as one of the top 50 corporate intranets. Brian enjoys writing and has authored a book on Internet application development for Prentice Hall Publishers and has written on Internet-related topics for Visual C++ Developers Journal, a Fawcette publication. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Brigham Young University. Brian is also a member of the Business Advisory Council for the Department of Information Systems and Technologies at Weber State University.
